Slillong Lajong FC beat JCT in the India Finals of the Manchester United Premier Cup to represent India in the World Finals to be held this summer in Manchester, England.
Shillong Lajong who defeated Kalyani Municipality Sports Academy 1 - 0 in the Semi-Final match faced JCT, who beat Sikkim FA 2-0 in the other Semi Final match. After full time the scoreline was still goalless so a penalty shoot out had to take place. The Lajong boys won the game 4-3 after sudden death.
